today i woke up at 1.55pm.this kind of Sunday is totally different from the last time that i have because it is truly a relaxation that can sleep until so long.
once again i feel that i will appreciate it when it lost because last time "research + gaming" life, i can sleep or wake whenever i want but it is different now.
mother has cooked some delicious meal for us because brother and sister also came back.
after having my lunch, i started to pack my stuff to go back KL.
then my brother's girlfriend asked me what is all about the Lynas issues where many people post and protested on Facebook and other place.
well, i did not know much but believe that it is something related to radiation that it might cause.
therefore i just research a bit and found out that it was about an Australian company that mine for rare earth in the state of Kuantan, Malaysia.
the usage of the rare earth can give a lot of benefits for telecomunication device manufacture such as Apple, Androids and other brands but it will produce a large amount of waste product that is radioactive which is harmful especially for those people living in Kuantan.
there were many place event organized such as "Stop LYNAS, Save Malaysia" and "Green Gathering 2.0" whereby supporting green is the main concern.
it is believed that the rare earth can be as valuable as petroleum in future which will eventually benefits Malaysia in terms of economy.furthermore, there is some video about the why Lynas choose Malaysia as below.
Lynas Malaysia - Why did Lynas choose Malaysia >>> Here.
Lynas Malaysia - Nick Curtis on Rare Earths and Lynas >>> Here.
overall i feel the main issue here was about the "$$" involved inside the activity.
besides, my brother's girlfriend also tell me similar case happening about Johor that some "G" paid 3 people to help them "burry" some waste material and cause a lot of public health problem.
however, when the citizen found out the issues, the "G" say that they were being accused.
somehow just feel something is fishy going there and it all about bribery issues.
around 5pm we make a move from house because father will fetch sister to send her wedding card to friends while i followed to back my KL house.
somehow the journey to my sister friend house passed father's old factory place.
then we talk about the property things because the house near Aman Perdana cost about RM250K,000+ for Semi D and RM380,000+ for a bungalow back in few years ago.
now, the house value at the raised almost twice and half from the previous price last time.
perhaps this is what we called as "opportunity" in investing money that has passed.
besides, i just know about the "factory things" whereby it was sold for RM950,000+ (cost RM600,000+ back in 10 years ago) to repay the financial debt.
somehow just feel myself how to get those money if really want to buy back the factory and believe the price will keep increase year by year.
then we head to somewhere near Petaling Jaya to continue pass my sister wedding card.
i just feel funny when my sister's friend though i was her husband when pass the card.
after that, we went to have our dinner at "Kaki Bola Dua" fish head noodle shop there.
however, we waited for almost 25 minutes for our food to arrive but it was quite large in portion and cost RM7.80 as picture below.
anyways, it was just nice to eat because i was too hungry while waiting.then my father fetched me to take train back my KL house.
around 9.10pm i reach Wangsa Maju LRT and took bus back TBR.
upon arrived at home, just saw my keyboard has spoiled a bit due to some housemate use my table space but just can't get angry.
besides, i also feel down when one of my friend did not reply my message although i keep find him and really don't know why he seems to keep avoid me.
later on, i just write my working report and submitted to my manager.
then i just start to iron my clothes although it was late.
on the other hand, i just saw some of "her" that "she" was quite enjoying with the current life.
well, i just can comfort myself to stay "happy" for her although it was quite "fake" to think that.
seriously i really can think a lot of stuff until make myself have a hard time to sleep.
for example, my sister said that the only way for me to success now is about the "Linux" training, my resit paper that i had ignored and many others things.
for now, i really feel frustrated which might gone crazy soon and the only way to "throw my rubbish" was to write it all out in here.
in fact, i think it might damage my health as this blog post was finish update on 2.15am and i need to wake up at 7am tomorrow.
somehow just feel to keep it simply as possible as a record of my own life.
here goes my another week in working life and hopefully everything goes well.
=D <<< (quite fake emotion for now but i believe continue posting some happy emotion might change my life as well.
XD

小鎮姑娘 >>> haha.. XD
thanks for all the visits~
I would like to clarify certain statements you made about the Lynas issue.
I've looked at the youtube links you provided.
Kindly look at these articles from NYT.

Firstly, the rare earth ore is mined from Western Australia’s Mount Weld and will be shipped to the Lynas plant in Gebeng (Kuantan).
Kuantan doesn't have any rare earth ore or mine based on these articles.
There are 17 different elements within the rare earths group. I am not sure which one they are processing at the Kuantan plant.
http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/2011/06/30/nyt-claims-untrue-says-lynas/
http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/2011/06/30/lynas-rare-earth-plant-safe-but/
Secondly, the rare earth ore is not radioactive at all. It's the thorium that comes with them (the ore deposits) that is slightly radioactive.
The Lynas Kuantan plant will process or refine these ore using sulfuric acid (or a mixture of powerful acids) and they will be mixed at 200 degree Farenheit ( about 93.33 degree Celsius ). This produces the corrosive and radioactive slurry (suspensions of solid in a liquid).
It will be pump through some steel pipes and end up in big containments tanks that are build with cement foundations and some watertight linings.
Yes, this waste being radioactive is harmful but the I.A.E.A (International Atomic Energy Agency based in Vienna) audit have given 11 recommendations and the Malaysian government will only grant a 2 years operating license to Lynas only if those recommendations are met, pending review thereafter.
Thus, it will not be harmful to the people in Kuantan unless there is a leak in the tanks.
NYT articles raised some alarms because it stated some arguments between Cradotex (local contractor) with Lynas about a moisture problem on the tanks that can lead to leakage in the future and the pulling out of the supplier of the fiberglass liners (AkzoNobel of Amsterdam, one of the world’s largest chemical companies) from the project.
The fear is that the cement foundation will crack as the area it is build on is a swamp area. That is, the cement will absorb the moisture (water) and cause the cement to expand and thus allow the radioactive slurry or waste to leak ( or leach ) to the underground and contaminate the nearby Gebeng area.
If this happen, it will be an environmental disaster.
Normally such leach will not be known until it is too late....like illnesses and other side-effects become apparent.
Yes, it is about money. Why would Lynas refine the rare earth ore at Kuantan, not Australia ? Why ship the ore 2,500 miles just to refine it ?
Lynas said it is four times cheaper to do it in Kuantan than in Australia.
Why would the Malaysian Government want to host such a refinery given the possible radioactive contamination risk ?
Consider the plant is build by Lynas at USD 230 million (about RM 690 million - approximate FOREX of 1 USD to RM3).
Consider that the plant will export USD 1.7 billion (about RM 5.1 billion) a year in rare earths.
Remember that these elements are rare. Meaning their price can only go up.
From the economic standpoint, why not ? The government will gain a lot from the port and other tax revenues. The surrounding chemical industries will thrive to supply acids needed for the refinery. Some 500 people will gain employment directly at the Gebeng plant.
Will there be sufficient backstop should the worst occur?
The Government and Lynas will need to articulate a clear exit strategy for this refinery and a backstop for the worst case scenario.
Apparently, they are doing this.
Your name is mine >>> wah, your report so details.. well, i just read on it and seems so true ler.. sigh.. bo bian lo.. this is Bolehland where everything is "boleh" as long got $$~ sigh... our hope to exit was earn many $$ and migrate from here lor.. this "game" is just like the survival pyramid.. >.<~~ btw, thanks for your posting ya~ =)
